FAMILY SESSION DETAILS

Just like every child is different, so is each session that Adam takes. While the style remains the same, the experience will be unique. It is important for Adam to be able to connect with each child, so he may ask the parents to take a backseat during parts of the session. It gives you a moment to sit back, relax and watch your child connect with Adam and his camera.

Sometimes the best shots come from Adam taking a few steps back himself and just capturing images of your children at play.

What to wear

Adam's style is casual and his client's generally dress that way as well.

Here a few things he loves: bare feet, messy hair, bright, colourful clothing, jeans, hats, chunky necklaces

And a few things that can be left behind: logos, writing on shirts, running shoes, baseball hats, bows & frills

It's always a good idea to pack a bag full of clothes. That way we can try a few different outfits for some variety and fun.

A typical session

Sessions can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on your child(ren). There is no set time limit. Adam will want to make sure he has caught his subject(s) at their very best.

An online gallery of your portraits will be available for viewing approximately 1 - 2 weeks after your session.

Family portraits

Adam enjoys capturing families in a casual, relaxed environment, whether this is at your favourite local park or all piled up on the sofa at home. He will attempt to capture those moments that can only happen when you are just being yourselves. This means not everyone needs to look at the camera at the same time, you don't all have to wear the same thing (in fact, please don't - the suggestions above on what to wear still apply), and laughter is strongly encouraged (and strictly enforced :-)).

Newborn sessions

Adam knows first hand that there is nothing more special, and more chaotic than the first couple of weeks after a baby is born. (This is Adam shortly after the birth of his child.) However, to truly capture your child in that 'newborn' stage, the best time is within the first 2 weeks of life. Obviously this means your shoot date needs to be flexible. Adam will do everything he can to ensure he can adapt to your baby's arrival. Please keep in mind, newborns photograph best naked or swaddled, or with newborn caps. As cute as those tiny pair of jeans are, newborns don't end up looking comfortable or natural wearing them.

Maternity sessions

Bring lots of options. Bring white and black tank tops, jeans, yoga pants, a few different blouses. If you are wanting to get nudes done, it is best to avoid wearing tight underwear and a bra the day of your session so that you won't have harsh strap marks! Adam prefers to do maternity shoots in studio.

After the session

About 1-2 weeks after your session, you will receive a link from Adam to your online gallery where you can view your portraits. Your personal gallery will remain online for 2 weeks so that you can show family and friends and make decisions on which portraits you want printed and in what size.
